Advent Children (and Advent Children Complete) is an incredibly well-made, beautiful and completely computer animated movie which takes place two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII.

A mysterious disease called Geostigma has begun to spread across the world. Also, a Sephiroth-like trio has turned up looking for "Big Brother" and "Mother". Could they be related?
Cloud and the others are once again drawn into the struggle to protect the world and, of course, Vincent appears to aid his friends.

Vincent in Advent Children

Vincent first appears in the film in the beginning, when Barret Wallace's young daughter Marlene tells of what befell in Final Fantasy VII, when he and his friends fought Sephiroth together in the Northern Crater.

Towards the middle of the film he shows up again in the Sleeping Forest to save Cloud Strife from Kadaj and his two brothers, Yazoo and Loz, who are on the hunt for the remains of Jenova. The three brothers have kidnapped Marlene and brought Denzel (a close friend of Marlene who also lives with Tifa and Cloud) and many other children who bear the Geostigma disease there.

Vincent then tells Cloud that he has observed the three brothers for some time, and explains more about Geostigma and what causes the disease.
He also explains that Shinra have found what remains of Jenova, her head, but that Tseng and Elena of the Turks were injured by Kadaj and the other two when they were recovering the head from the Northern Crater. They were brought to the Sleeping Forest and Vincent managed to heal them even though they were badly wounded.

Suddenly they hear a rustling sound coming from the bushes and Marlene appears. She is worried and wants to call home to Tifa, but since Cloud has lost his cellphone she turns to Vincent instead and asks if she may borrow his.
Vincent then throws back his cloak and shows that the only thing he carries is his gun, Cerberus, and that he has no telephone.
Marlene is very surprised by this.
Cloud wants Vincent to take care of Marlene and bring her home to Tifa, but Vincent does not think that it is a good idea. Marlene grows tired of that Cloud will neither listen nor come home with her, so she runs from his side and hides beneath the safe folds of Vincents cloak instead. Cloud tries to convince Marlene that they must wait and not throw themselves into the upcoming battle, but Marlene refuses to listen to Cloud. Vincent asks Cloud what it is that really makes him hesitate.
Vincent looks at Cloud and after a while Cloud asks him if a sin can be forgiven. He replies that he has never tried. These words seem to convince Cloud to make up his mind and he asks Marlene to come with him home to Tifa. Marlene smiles and hurries back to Cloud, who tells Vincent that he will tell him how it goes.

When Vincent appears anew it is to help the others fight Bahamut (who has been summoned by Kadaj), and to buy a cellphone.
After battling Bahamut for a while, he and the others together throw Cloud skywards to finish their struggle against the mighty beast.

Thereafter Cloud is off to hunt down Kadaj, who has now gotten hold of Jenovas head and is trying to escape. He recieves help from Reno and Rude of the Turks, who take care of Kadaj's two brothers, while Vincent and the others follow in Cid Highwind's airship.
Somewhere near the old Shinra Head Office in the ruins Midgar Cloud finally cathes up to Kadaj and they begin to fight anew. Soon after that the battle has broken out, Vincent and the others aboard the airship show up and Yuffie yells out that she has brought lots of materia. Vincent, on the other hand, suggests that they leave the fight to Cloud, and explains more about what Kadaj is to the others. After a short discussion, and some more explanations, Cloud's friends leave him to fight his own battle.

At the end of the film Vincent stands together with the others in the church in Midgar, where all the children who bear the Geostigma are finally healed by the water from the fresh spring that has appeared where Aerith's flowers used to grow.
