Title: Before Crisis Genre: Action RPG Made by: Square Enix Platform: Mobile Phone Release dates: Japan - September 24, 2004 - April 1, 2006 Before Crisis tells the story of the members of the Turks, Shinra's special investigations unit, and their struggle against the anti-Shinra organization AVALANCHE as well as the company itself. Apart from the new characters, many well known persons from other parts of the Compilation also appear. The game takes place during the six years before the events of Final Fantasy VII and ends at the time of Meteor Fall. Before Crisis is currently only availible in Japan. Vincent appears in chapter 19, where Verdot, the former head of the Turks, and one of the playable characters visit Shinra Manor. While searching through some old archives they come across a note with instructions, in the form of riddles, on how to unlock the door to the room where Vincent sleeps. Once inside they find Vincent in his coffin and Verdot recognizes him. It turns out that they were colleagues and worked together while Vincent was still in the Turks. Though they are interrupted by AVALANCHE forces, Vincent is able to help his old friend find the location of a special materia that he is looking for inside the manor. This occurs shortly after Zack and Cloud, who had been imprisoned in the Shinra Manor laboratory for years, finally manage to escape from the facility. The date given in chapter 19 is: "December 19, Era 0006"
