This year we finally began to update the site properly and by the end of January an English version of it was up.
The site recieved an incredible amount of guestbook posts and nearly all of them were in English. It was also a very fitting year for a new look and a new start for V.V.F. since 2007 was the year for the Final Fantasy series' 20th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.

And yes, the name comes from latin:
Vincent comes from the word "vincens" (or the other form of the word, "vincere") which means "victorious" (other interpretations of the name exist, like "conquering" or "seductive") and Valentine comes from the word valens which means "powerful" (there are some other interpretations of the name like "brave" or "strong", but we think that "powerful" is the word that is the most direct translation of the name).

I have finished playing CCFF7.It is really a good game~I want to ask why Vincent appears in BC but in CC,there is no appearance of Vincent.This makes me feel a little bit disapointed~

Heaven Sybil: It's really cool that you already have played it! We have bought the game, but have only started it and watched the intro (until Zack's first battle after jumping of the train). Since we are not that good at Japanese, we will wait for the English version and play it as soon as it comes out. We are really looking forward to it! Yeah, we guessed that he wouldn't appear in that game.

In BC we think that Verdot, leader of the Turks, wanted to ask Vincent something right after the escape of Zack and Cloud. Although Vincent does not appear in CCFF7,I also love this game very much~(It is because I rather like Sephiroth and Genesis^^)In this game,I think Sephiroth is a good person actually,but only at the beginning and in the middle of the game.Nearly in the end,Sephiroth becomes crazy,because he completely believes that his mother is Jenova!Then,he kills the people in Nibelheim and burns the village...(Although Sephiroth is crazy,i still like him~)
p.s.I hate the crazy scientist Hojo very much!!I want to kill him ><
I am a Chinese from Hong Kong,(Do you know Hong Kong?)I can understand the Japanese,but only a little bit...So,I ask my friend who know Japanese a lot and also interested in FF7 for help,help me to translate Japanese into Chinese~Then,I can finish the game sucessfully~(I must finish CCFF7,because my EXAM is coming soon,I need to concentrate to do revision!)

Ah, of course we know of Hong Kong! One of our closest friends comes from China, altrough she now lives here in Sweden. She often travels to China and buy things for her Chinese shop. =)

Heaven Sybil: Yes, it is! It appears that Tifa's hair is shorter than it was in FFVII. She probably decided to have it a bit shorter sometime after the Meteor Fall. =)

It is wonderful that Japan is really good at making CG,I admire it very much!~

It´s a really wonderful red colour, and you are right, it's hard to find that special red coulour elsewhere. But Lucrecia said that Vincent had his father's eyes, so Grimoire Valentine must have had that special eye colour too. ;)
Yupp, he has really nice hair! ^^
It was much shorter and straighter when he was with the Turks, so maybe it was something with Chaos that made the hair grow like it did?
Yeah, his facial features are so cute and cool, too. ^^
Of course it does. =) Grimoire chose a good name for his son. ^^
